November 12 6-8pm | The Stories We've Banned From Ourselves | In-Person 1974 Bookstore Salt Lake City, Utah
- Description
An in-person BeMo guided writing circle to un-ban your personal truths.
Event: The Sanctuary of Stories: Unbanning Your Truth Date: Tuesday, November 12 Time: 6-8pm Duration: 2 hours Location: 1974 Bookstore
💬 About this Gathering
In a culture that often pushes for simple gratitude, some of our most important stories can feel "banned"—the truths we’re afraid to speak, the ambitions we’ve hidden, and the feelings we’ve been taught to suppress.
Join us in the beautiful, brand-new 1974 Bookstore for an evening dedicated to uncovering these stories. This guided writing circle will move beyond surface-level thankfulness to create a sanctuary for your whole truth. Together, we will use a special BeMo practice to acknowledge what’s real, release what’s heavy, and reclaim your story with courage and purpose.
✨ What You’ll Experience
- Grounded Teaching: Cassandra Stark, creator of The BeMo Practice, will guide you through the powerful metaphor of "banned stories" to explore authentic resilience.
- Gentle Breath + Clearing: We begin by creating a safe space, releasing pressure, and setting a clear intention. Quiet presence is always full participation.
- Guided Writing to Unlock Your Truth: You'll be led through a series of thoughtful, private writing prompts designed to help you access the stories you've been carrying without judgment. This isn’t about perfect writing—it’s about honest writing.
- The "I Get To" Practice: After uncovering our truths, we will learn a powerful BeMo reframing tool to transform struggle into a source of strength and agency.
- Reflection + Support: We end with space to integrate our insights. Sharing is always optional, but the support of the circle is always present.
